The conditions were just perfect in this woodland scene. Sentinel beech tree trees stretched to the heavens with with sparse lower branches giving a splash of colour. The beech leaf carpet covers the woodland floor, only the progress of a muddy water course trickling to the river has disturbed the blanket. Mist which has just appeared is disappearing fast with the tepid sun breaking through as it drifts up into the dense forest above. Do you know which way I’m heading, take your pick.

Tynemouth Sunrise
Up early again to get some dawn and sunrise photos around the mouth of the river tyne. At this time in the morning the sun shines through the waves to give you a fantasic spectacle of the breakwater dancing. If you get it right you get a lovely photograph, well in 6 attempts I got it right. Enjoy. Now my dilemma is to whether to finish this photo in colour of monochrome, as the breakwater is really high key. Well I'll do both. Here the colour version.
